AOL Is Buying The Huffington Post For $315 Million
The Huffington Post, a popular news-aggregator which has more than 25 millions of monthly visitors will be acquired by AOL company this year.
AOL will buy The Huffington Post for $315 million from its founder Arianna Huffington.
Arianna will be editor-in-chief of the new Huffington Post Media Network whcih will also include popular tech blogs Engadget and TechCrunch.
The deal should be realized in first or second quarter of this year.
In joint press release they announced that the new Huffington Post Media Network will be created and it will be a premier global, national, local, and hyper-local content group. The newly created network will have more than 117 monthly visitors from USA and more than 270 million visitors worldwide.
