SubDigger+ to Help in Recovering Lost Digg Community?

A plenty of time has passed after Digg has launched its new version which has banished the most active Digg users, it seems that Digg has started to learn on its own mistakes and started to bring back some old features.
After the launch of the new version about less than a half year ago, Digg has been struggling with plenty of problems and one of major problems was rapid loss of its community members.
It is not the secret that this loss was firstly caused because Digg has decided to remove the option for users to follow the submissions of their friends and some other features.
Like the most of Digg users, I have been disappointed with those changes and I have stopped using Digg, because it wasn’t anymore the Digg which I knew. However, about a few weeks ago I have noticed that there might be some changes, I found a number of new features, and amongst them, there was the most important feature: an option to see the submissions history of every user (which wasn’t possible when the new version of Digg has been launched in August, last year).
I have immediately went to sub.diggerplus.com and I have seen that they were trying to use this new feature and to make their engine work again. However there were some bugs, it was very hard to load data via sub.diggerplus.com.
This week I have came back and I see that there are still some problems with loading of submissions, but it seems that improvements are on the way.

Unfortunately, the following message still appears too often:

For those who are trying to use this tool, it is important to mention that submissions can indeed be loaded but you have to be patient and give a few of tries. Also, when you are done with one round of subs, you might wait for a couple of hours (or try refreshing your browser’s cache) before you are able to get another round of submissions from your friends.
The good news is that they have also launched another great tool, fan.diggerplus.com which enables you to see some important statistics related to your account.

All this seems to be a sign that Digg has finally accepted the fact that they have made huge mistake and this might be a good way to relive almost dead Digg community again. I just hope that it is not too late. Good luck Digg!
By the way, I have to admit that I have missed this kind of activity, it is really nice to be able to see again all these quality subs from most popular and most active Digg users.
UPDATE1: After publishing this post, a lot of Digg users have complained me about that they cannot access the submissions at all. I can tell you that I do not have much problems with loading submissions of my friends. When I try to load submissions, I do not get them immediately, I am forced to give a few tries, usually up to 5 tries, before I get the submissions, so I recommend you to be patient and give a few tries. I hope that Digg will improve their API server very soon and I hope SubDigger+ team will do the best to improve the functionality of this very important Digg tool.
UPDATE2: I have been testing this intensively and after few days I can give these tips to you who are trying to use this tool:
- when loading submissions for the first time be patient and you should try as much as it is needed to load the subs…
- after you have loaded the first round of your submissions you will be able to reload them easy, until you clear them all
- when you have cleared all of your previously loaded submissions, delete all cookies related to sub.diggerplus.com (you should do the same when trying to browse fan.diggerplus.com) and give a few tries until you reload the next round of your friends’ submissions.
