Is Reddit.com Too Big Bite for Ben Huh?
The owner of Cheezburger blog network has attracted some attention to itself with claiming that he is willing to buy a Reddit, a social bookmarking community similar to Digg.
Reddit is currently owned by Condé Nast corporation which has bought it in 2006.
Allegedly, Huh is interested to buy Reddit because because he likes the community.
Ben spoke to the visitors of one of his blogs, Thedailywh.at and announced that he is interested to buy Reddit. In his public letter he claims that he would love to accept all those “pesky and troublesome” Reddit users.
I have to admit that I am little suspicious about this offer and I wonder does Ben Huh have enough resources to back up such offer as buying Reddit. This rather looks like some kind of guerilla marketing effort to me but we shall see.
