Facebook Share Button Will Not Show The Thumbnail?
I have recently moved one of my blogs on another server and I have found that my Facebook share button doesn’t work properly there.
When I tried to share some content from my blog from a new server via Facebook button or by copying link and pasting it in my Facebook status, it wouldn’t give me a data as usually, like thumbnail photo and the intro of shared article. It gave me only the title of my website (not the article) and meta description of the website.
First I believed that something went wrong while I was mowing the blog (Wordpress software) but everything on my website was fine just Facebook share button didn’t work properly. I was really upset with this fact because Facebook share button is very important on that particular blog so I was planing to transfer files again from old server just to be sure that I did everything OK in a hope that I will get this button working fine again.
But, today I found that button started to work again (as I was secretly hoping) so I concluded that the cause of whole this issue actually was in the fact that Facebook probably need some time to accept the changes that have been made to a DNS of the particular domain. So if you transfer you blog, do not worry if your Facebook share button doesn’t work, just wait for a few days and it will be back. It took a week in my case.
